When does GTA 6 come out?
Rockstar Games releases Grand Theft Auto VI on Thursday, November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The date is the same worldwide.

GTA 6 release time
The countdown on this page runs to midnight in your own time zone. PlayStation Store listings point to a midnight local time unlock for the digital version. If that holds, players in New Zealand start first, at 11:00 UTC on November 18 (6:00 a.m. Eastern). Players further west get it later, and the US West Coast is among the last.
Rockstar has not published official unlock times yet, and Xbox times can differ from PlayStation. Treat midnight local time as likely, not final.
Preload, pre-orders and price
Pre-orders opened on June 25, 2026. In the US, the Standard Edition costs $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition costs $99.99. The Ultimate Edition is digital only and adds a collection of exclusive items across Jason and Lucia's story. Pre-orders of either edition get the Vintage Vice City Pack as a bonus.
If you pre-ordered a digital copy, you can preload from November 12, 2026, one week before launch. There is no disc at launch: boxed copies go on sale on November 12 and contain a download code, so you can redeem it and preload too. Rockstar also sells The Vice City Collection, a limited collector's box of physical items.
Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
Not at launch. Rockstar has only announced GTA 6 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has said the company's games usually reach every platform over time, but there is no PC date.
History gives a rough idea. GTA IV reached PC about seven months after consoles, and GTA V took about 19 months (September 2013 on consoles, April 2015 on PC). Any PC date you see before Rockstar confirms one is a guess. More in our GTA 6 PC news post.
Is GTA 6 coming out on PS4 or Xbox One?
No. GTA 6 is built for current consoles only: PS5 (including PS5 Pro) and Xbox Series X|S. There is no PS4 or Xbox One version.

Will GTA 6 be delayed again?
Nothing points that way. As of October 4, 2026, Take-Two has repeated November 19, 2026 in its recent updates, pre-orders are live and the preload date is set. We update this page as soon as anything changes.
